Lol I love it that someone said "There are crack dealers on the street and you're arresting someone for playing a guitar!", they don't care you idiot. I've seen cops stand around while crack is sold across the street and pull someone over for not signaling a turn. Arresting a crack dealer = shit load of paperwork, ticketing someone for loitering = less paper work.

If I was that guy I would've picked my stuff up and left and made my way to a different train station to set up again. Never tell a cop no, they will only escalate the issue until you have no choice.
